Traveling on a budget doesn’t mean missing out on all of the fun Green Bay has to offer! We put together a week-long itinerary featuring delicious, affordable meals and activities that will keep you entertained — all for under $20 a day.

Monday: Comfort Food & Bowling Fun

Kick off the week with a Wisconsin staple: custard and burgers from Zesty’s in Howard. This retro-style diner serves up crispy fries, butter burgers, and creamy custard that’ll hit the spot without blowing your budget.

After your meal, head down the road to Buzz Social for a budget-friendly night of bowling. For just $8 per person, you can get two hours of play, shoes included! It’s a great way to let loose and maybe even get a little competitive with your travel companions.

Tuesday: Classic Diner Vibes & Movie Night

Start your evening off with a stop at The Drift Inn, a cozy bar and grill known for its spaghetti chili and friendly service. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a hearty and very affordable meal.

Then, head on over to the De Pere Cinema to take in a movie on the big screen! On Tuesdays, admission is just $5 for all ages, plus they have $2 popcorn and $2 sodas. You’ll come in well under your $20 daily limit without having to sacrifice a thing!

Wednesday: Warm Bowls & Cool Tunes

Warm up with a steaming bowl of ramen or pho at Eat30 Cafe, a hidden gem that serves up flavorful, comforting dishes at an affordable price. Their Beef Pho comes in at just under $13, so you’ll still have enough left over for a pint at the brewery.

The brewery we’re suggesting for your Wednesday is Cocoon Brewery. They host a “Vinyl Night” starting at 6 pm which makes for great vibes all around. It’s a chance for you to unwind, sip some great beer, and meet some new friends!

Thursday: Pancakes & Outdoor Adventure

No trip to Green Bay is complete without a visit to The Pancake Place, a local institution famous for its massive, plate-sized pancakes. They start at just $3.49 per pancake (add a little more for toppings) and if you can eat more than one, we’ll be impressed.

Spend the afternoon at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary! Stroll through the nature trails, watch the wildlife, and if you’d like, grab a bag of corn to feed the geese and ducks! Aside from the gift shop, the corn is the only thing you will have to pay for. It’s only a few dollars, which is money WELL spent for all of the hilarious bird antics you’ll get to witness.

Friday: Tacos & Titletown

Fridays are meant for fun and what could be more fun than delicious tacos from Bel Air Cantina? This new establishment within the Titletown District is already beloved by locals for its street-style tacos and margaritas. At just $3-4 per taco, you can afford to sample a few!

Afterward, stick around in Titletown, Green Bay’s premier outdoor entertainment district. You can challenge your friends to some free yard games and let the kids run wild on the playground or race each other on the regulation-sized football field. You can spend hours here and not get bored… or spend a dime!

Saturday: Subs & Local Art

Start your day with a stop at Scott’s Subs (open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays) for a fresh and filling sandwich. There’s just something about their bread that is instantly addicting.

Then, dive into Green Bay’s art scene. The Art Garage (open 12-4 p.m. in the spring) showcases local artists, while the Lawton Gallery (open 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.) features rotating exhibits from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. After exploring the galleries, take yourself on a self-guided mural tour to discover beautiful street art all around town!

Sunday: Cozy Breakfast & a Peaceful Retreat

Close out your budget-friendly week with a leisurely breakfast and coffee at Delilah’s, a charming spot with a welcoming atmosphere. We highly recommend the shakshuka!

Then, take a peaceful drive to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion, the only officially recognized Marian apparition site in the United States. Whether you visit for spiritual reasons or simply to admire the serene setting, it’s a great way to wrap up your week of exploring Green Bay on a budget.
