Bart Starr Mural

Perched on the west exterior wall of the historic Bellin Building at 130 E. Walnut St., the mural by local artist Beau Thomas features a commanding image of Packers legend Bart Starr in his iconic No. 15 jersey, alongside one of his most humble reflections: “I was just one part of a great team.” Completed in summer 2024, the piece pays tribute not only to Starr’s Hall‑of‑Fame legacy, but also his deep connection to Green Bay—especially as motorists cross the nearby Bart Starr Memorial Bridge, making it a vibrant symbol of community pride downtown

Ho-Cunk Heritage Mural
Beneath the Dousman Street (Ray Nitschke Memorial) Bridge in downtown Green Bay, a striking 130‑foot “Ho‑Chunk Heritage Mural” was unveiled in July 2024 during ArtFest—with over 300 volunteers bringing it to life. Featuring the Ho‑Chunk phrase “Wookixete” (“Love One Another”), a traditional dugout canoe, and twelve clan feathers inspired by Bear Clan artist Ken Lewis, the mural honors the deep history and vibrant culture of the Ho‑Chunk Nation in this region.

Pedro the Pelican

‘Pedro the Pelican’ was created by artist Kent Hutchison. Located at the Neville Public Museum. Kent created Pedro as homage to Green Bay’s history and natural resources. Pedro was designed to reflect the major efforts put forth to reclaim and restore the Fox River and the flourishing downtown and vibrant communities of Green Bay.

Beneath the Broadway District sky at 423 Dousman Street, the vibrant mural “I Will Be a Hummingbird” by John Kowalczyk draws inspiration from a Wangari Maathai folktale—depicting lucid, glowing hummingbirds and a giant guiding hand to symbolize the courage of small yet meaningful acts, reminding viewers to “do the best you can” even when facing overwhelming odds

The Green Bay Mural
Green Bay's largest mural by artist Beau Thomas on the side of the Kuehn Printing Building.
There are many elements to this massive painting. The ‘GREEN BAY’ text stretches across the wall and is a loud proclamation of who the people of Green Bay are. Near the middle of the mural is the Fox River and Tower Drive Bridge. The river is central to Green Bay’s natural landscape and the bridge is an iconic element of the waterway. On the left end of the mural is a marker for the beginning of The Arts District on Main Street. The far-right end of the mural showcases some of Downtown Green Bay’s most prominent buildings; The Watermark building, which is the most dominant structure on the riverfront, The Courthouse, an object of classical architecture and a cornerstone of downtown, and The Bellin Building, which has an iconic as well as historical importance to the city. Finally, there is text that proclaims “Love Where You Live.” Altogether, the elements of the mural interact in a celebration of Green Bay.

Artist Kent Hutchinson painted this watercolor style mural done in acrylic, for the owner of Sense Spa where the mural is located on the west side of Green Bay. The new tea house and spa owner is adding to the beautiful Zen gardens with this artistic mural. There will also be outside seating in the peaceful, minimalist, Zen-like garden.

Ahnapee Brewery
This mural used to be found on the corner of Second and State Street in downtown Algoma on the side of the Pizza Bowl. When they were planning to tear it down, the owner of Ahnapee Brewery asked to purchase the mural to showcase in their new brewery location in Green Bay, WI. You can now find this preserved mural painted by Chris Shuster in 2007 in Ahnapee's taproom located in the Village of Suamico.
