Green Bay Tradition

Training Camp

One of the most exciting times of the year is Green Bay Packers Training Camp! Fans come from near and far to watch the Pack practice. Watch the bike parade, a longtime tradition, and see players and their young companions make their way to the practice field.

The Packers' practice at both outdoor practice fields, Ray Nitschke Field and Clarke Hinkle Field. Public practices take place at Ray Nitschke Field.

Among the most noteworthy components of Nitschke Field are the permanent seating structure for approximately 1,500 fans on the field's east side, a 170-yard natural grass field incorporated with DD GrassMaster, the same surface featured on Lambeau Field and Clarke Hinkle Field, a heated portion of the playing field for late-season practices and permanent lighting for night practices.

Gates open 90 minutes prior to the scheduled practice time and close 30 minutes after the completion of practice. Concessions are available for purchase. Carry-ins are permitted, but items such as coolers must be personal in size and not exceed a reasonable amount of space. Smoking and alcohol are prohibited inside the facility.

Watching practice is free and open to the public during training camp (first-come, first-served), as indicated on the training camp practice schedule (select dates). Visit the Packers Training Camp page for more information.

Player Interaction

A time-honored tradition at Packers training camp, fans have opportunities to interact with the players, such as when they are walking to and from practice, entering and exiting the practice field, and mingling near the bike corral at the facility entrance.

The Future Lambeau Leapers Autographs are designed specifically for fans ages 12 and younger and will take place in the Don Hutson Center. The area will give kids the chance to meet players, shake their hands, and potentially get autographs.

The Lambeau Field Atrium also offers plenty to do and see during training camp, including the Packers Pro Shop, the Packers Hall of Fame and Lambeau Field Stadium Tours. 1919 Kitchen & Tap will be open each day beginning at 11 a.m., with the Atrium eateries also open select hours. Fun-filled, historical Heritage Trail Trolley Tours are also available through the Packers Hall of Fame. Visitors also can take advantage of the Green Bay Metro’s Green and Gold bus routes, which offers free rides between Lambeau Field and downtown Green Bay every 30 minutes.
