Joannes Family Aquatic Center
Joannes Aquatic Center is a heated pool with zero depth wading area, a tot sand play area, and two sand volleyball courts located within the 29-acre Joannes Park. Older kids will love taking a thrilling ride down one of the two 23′ high water slides and the drop slide, and leaping off the one meter high diving board. For younger kids, Joannes has a great mini slide in the shallow pool with several water fountains and sprayers to splash in. Just bring your swimsuit and towel; the aquatic center provides lounge chairs so you can kick up your feet and coin-operated lockers in the locker rooms or right on the lounge deck.
Once you’re done in the pool, take the kids over to the large playground with state-of-the art equipment. Love sports? Joannes Park has a horseshoe pit, basketball court, skate park, and baseball stadium, where the Green Bay Bullfrogs play their home games.
All that playing can make you hungry! Stop at the full service concession stand for a Hydrant pizza, hot dogs, nachos, ice cream or candy. Enjoy your meal in the picnic area, then get back to the serious job of playing. Joannes Family Aquatic Center is located on Green Bay’s east side, near the original City Stadium. The park is open from mid-June through late August. Admission is free for kids under 2 years old and only $4 for kids under 18. Adults pay just $5.50 for the whole day. There are discounts available for residents and groups of 15 or more.
