One of the best parts about summer in Green Bay? Packers Training Camp! If you’ve never experienced it before, you’re in for a real treat. There’s a buzz in the air, kids are biking around in their favorite players’ jerseys, and fans line up along the fences. It’s the kind of experience that makes you feel like you’re part of something bigger.
Training Camp is also exciting because it’s our first opportunity to see the brand new players in action and our old favorites back on the field again. If you’re visiting Green Bay in late July or August, you should absolutely make time to attend a practice.
Training Camp 2026
This year marks the 81st annual Training Camp, which began all the way back in 1946 under Curly Lambeau. As it has in the past, practices will take place across the street from Lambeau Field at Ray Nitschke Field. All practices start at 10:30 a.m. (although times are subject to change). Here are the days you can come be part of the action:
- Wednesday, July 29
- Thursday, July 30
- Friday, July 31
- Sunday, August 2
- Monday, August 3
- Tuesday, August 4
- Monday, August 10
- Tuesday, August 11
- Sunday, August 16
- Tuesday, August 18
- Monday, August 24
- Wednesday, August 26
During the scheduled practices, you can watch players run drills, see rookies trying to earn their spot, and catch those little moments you never get to see up close on game day.
Practices are free to attend. Ray Nitschke Field has bleachers, standing areas, and plenty of spots to get a good view. Keep in mind that bleacher seats tend to fill up quickly. Pro tip: be sure to bring sunscreen and water with you!
Should inclement weather or any other factor force the team indoors, practices will be closed to the public due to space limitations inside the Don Hutson Center.
The Oh-So-Adorable Bike Tradition

One of the most iconic parts of Packers Training Camp is the bike tradition. Kids line up with their bicycles, and players choose one to ride from Lambeau Field across the street to Ray Nitschke Field. The kids get to walk alongside them, carry their helmet, and have a little chat.
If you’re visiting, it’s worth getting there early just to watch it happen. It’s one of those “only in Green Bay” moments. Further information about fan activities at training camp will be available on the Green Bay Packers website before Training Camp starts.
Make Time to Explore Lambeau Field
Lambeau Field is the NFL's oldest continually operating stadium and a favorite due to its history and wholesomeness. Since you’ll be hanging out across the street, you might as well take some time to walk through the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame and go on one of the world-famous Lambeau Field Stadium Tours. On the tour, you'll get a chance to go behind-the-scenes and see the stadium's most special locations, walk in the footsteps of generations of legends, and hear the cheers of more than 80,000 fans (this is one of the coolest parts of the whole tour).
Grab Food Nearby

Hungry after a few hours outside? Well, you’re in the heart of Titletown, so you’ve got lots of good options. You can grab a table on the patio of Hinterland Brewery, try the iconic butter burger at Kroll’s West, or try out the new Pope’s Pizza nearby. For the true fan experience, you can make a reservation at 1919 Kitchen & Tap, located inside the Lambeau Field Atrium.
Training Camp is one of those experiences that makes you feel connected to the team and the city, even if you’re just visiting for the weekend. If you’re in Green Bay during one of the practices, go… even if you’re not football obsessed. You’ll have a great time!
