Father’s Day is this weekend! Hopefully, you remembered to plan something special for Dad, but if the holiday somehow snuck up on you this year, remain calm. We’ve got you covered with our Father’s Day checklist.

Start with Father’s Day Brunch

Brunch has always seemed to go hand-in-hand with Mother’s Day, but dads want brunch too! After all, the love of eggs Benedict and French toast knows no boundaries! Take Pops out to one of these local brunch spots and get that man a mimosa.

Check Out Special Events Around Town

Several Green Bay attractions are helping celebrate Father's Day with free admission and special activities.

If Dad bleeds green and gold, start at the Packers Hall of Fame, where dads receive free admission on Father's Day. While you're there, pick up something special for Dad in the Pro Shop.

At the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park, dads receive free admission to both the zoo and the Canopy Tour. Adventure-loving dads can also enjoy half-price zip line rides at the Adventure Park. The first 500 dads through the gates even receive a complimentary bag of candy! Make the day extra special for Dad by checking out an animal feeding or a Wild Encounter experience. And be sure to say hello to the zoo's newest father, Blade the American Red Wolf, who recently welcomed four pups!

The Green Bay Botanical Garden is also offering free admission for dads—especially nice for the dads who might like a little peace and quiet as they stroll among the blooms.

At VanderVest Harley-Davidson's Dad's Day Store Event on June 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., visitors will enjoy giveaways, food, shopping, family activities, and more. The first 150 guests through the door will receive a scratch-off ticket with chances to win prizes and gift certificates. Plus, there will be free ice cream, popcorn, and a food truck on-site throughout the day.

Have Some Fun with the Kids

Of course, Father's Day wouldn't exist without the kids who made Dad a dad in the first place. Green Bay offers plenty of family-friendly activities that everyone can enjoy together.

Challenge Dad to a round of mini golf at Bay Beach Mini Golf, Duck Creek Golf Center, Putt Social, or Sweets & Eats Mini Golf.

Have a dad with a Formula 1 obsession? Let him channel his inner Antonelli at Midwest Super Speedway, where both adults and junior racers can hit the track.

If your family is full of outdoors explorers, spend the day on the water. Launch the kayaks from Green Isle Park into the East River or paddle Lily Lake. Don’t have a kayak? Rent one from Zeller’s or the Fox River Kayaking Company and enjoy the urban kayaking experience on the Fox River.

Spend the day disc golfing! Some favorite courses in the area include Baird Creek, Pamperin Park, Pinecrest, and UW-Green Bay. If you're looking for something a little more laid-back with the kiddos, head over to Legion Park in De Pere for a smaller course with a playground and a pool.

For the dads who love games, Green Bay has options galore. Explore over 200 virtual reality experiences at Edge VR Arcade, enjoy unlimited pinball at District 82 Pinball, relive the arcade glory days at Player 2 Arcade Bar, or check out Lumberjack Johnny's Pinball Lounge. Board game and card game dads can browse local favorites like Gnome Games, Frost Giant Games, Ashenjugg, and Windfall Games for everything from Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering to family game night classics.

Lastly, head to Bay Beach Amusement Park, where a pocketful of quarters still goes a long way. With rides costing just 25 cents per ticket, Dad can ride the Zippin Pippin to his heart's content.

Embrace Some Classic “Dad” Activities

Now we know dads come in all varieties, but there are just some things that feel especially Dad-coded (like putzing around in the garage and sneezing loud enough to shake the house).

For the car-loving dad, spend some time at The Automobile Gallery. Housed inside a beautifully restored mid-century Cadillac dealership, the museum features vintage classics, rare collectibles, and even a famous DeLorean that's perfect for a Father's Day photo op.

Mini golf is fun, but sometimes Dad needs to get on the green for 18 holes. Book a tee time at Thornberry Creek, Hilly Haven, The Woods, Brown County Golf Course, Duck Creek Golf Center, or Village Green Golf Course. If the weather isn't cooperating—or Dad simply wants to work on his swing indoors—Green Bay Indoor Golf offers virtual courses, pool tables, darts, pizza, and beer.

Dad + a locally-brewed IPA? Iconic. Green Bay's brewery scene is thriving, so check out our Ask a Local: Best Green Bay Beers blog for recommendations from local beer lovers.

And last but not least, there’s fishing! Few activities scream "Father's Day" quite like casting a line together. Try your luck from the pier at Voyageur Park or Leicht Memorial Park, visit the Kids Fishing Pond at the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary, or spend an afternoon relaxing at Lily Lake.

Pick Out a Thoughtful Gift

No Father's Day celebration is complete without a little something to unwrap.

Stop by the Green Bay UFO Museum Gift Shop for Dad’s new favorite record, plus quirky finds and unique gifts. Fuel Dad's caffeine habit with a fresh bag of beans from Coffee Wizardz, or pick up a book of dad jokes from Lion's Mouth Bookstore.

For dads who appreciate a little self-care, you can’t miss a gift certificate to a local spa. Treat Dad to the Prince Pedicure at The Sense Spa or the Woodsman Massage at Kohler Waters Spa at Lodge Kohler.

And because we're in Wisconsin, let's talk meat and cheese. Build the ultimate Father's Day charcuterie board with selections from Two Guernsey Creamery, Kickaas Cheese, or Scray Cheese. Or fire up the grill with premium cuts from Maplewood Meats, Melotte, or Paulie's Chop Shop.
