If you’re on the hunt for the latest Pokémon or Magic: The Gathering packs, sports cards, or just your basic board game (people still play Scrabble, right?), you are in for a treat because Green Bay is loaded with places to buy games, cards, puzzles, and the like!

Traveling is often about seeing and experiencing new things, but if you also want to feed your hobbies and find like-minded people, this blog post is for you. These are the places in Green Bay where you can join a tournament, buy the latest game, or just browse a bit.

Frost Giant has been a staple for card lovers in Ashwaubenon for years, specifically Magic: The Gathering, Flesh & Blood, and My Hero Academy, although they do stock other items and host weekly events featuring all sorts of different games and campaigns. The owners are helpful, and they’re happy to answer your questions and get you set up with whatever you need!

Green Bay City Cards on Military Ave. is a small but mighty presence in the local card collector scene. This is a great place to get Pokémon singles and packs at a fair price, as well as all kinds of sports cards and other collectibles. They have a tournament room in the back of the store where they hold events and swaps, so be sure to check their Facebook page for updates.

Ashenjugg

This is one of the newer kids on the block, but they’re already developing a devoted local following because of how helpful they are. Ashenjugg specializes in TCGs (Pokémon, Magic, etc.) and TTRPGs (D&D, Pathfinder, etc.), and they offer discounts for customers who play in-store. They also host a lot of demos and play-test events so you can try new games!

Windfall Games

This is another newbie that locals are super excited about. What stands out is their massive play area (no worries about not finding a table) and their curated retail section. They specialize in Magic: the Gathering, Pokémon, Riftbound, Gundam, and more. And because they have cases and cases of singles, you can snag that one last card you need to complete your deck.

Card & Coin

Card & Coin in Ashwaubenon is all about sports cards, coin collecting, trading cards, and Packer memorabilia. Whether you’re into the modern era of sports or you love to collect cards from your favorite childhood players, you’ll find what you’re looking for here. Ask any local and they’ll tell you that this place has been a staple in the community since the 1980s, when it was located inside one corner of a paint store. They’ve come a long way!

All Access Cardshop

All Access Cardshop is all about bringing people together to share the hobbies they love. They have a great selection of trading card games like Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, and Lorcana, and they also have hobby activities like Gunpla and other Bandai model series. On Friday evenings, they have a build event where you can come, hang out, and build whatever you’d like!

Gnome Games

Gnome Games' mission is to enrich lives and strengthen communities by providing memorable, socially responsible, value-added added family-friendly play experiences. They have two locations in Green Bay, and each has its own event and tournament schedules, so it’s worth checking out each of their Facebook pages (Gnome Games East and Gnome Games West). If you’re just looking to browse the latest board games, puzzles, and trading cards, either location is worth checking out. Everyone is super nice and will help you find something you’ll love!

The start of a new year is the perfect time to take on a challenge or just put yourself out there a little more. Game stores are the perfect places to discover a new hobby and meet some seriously friendly people at the same time!
