We are firm believers in the fact that you don't need to travel far to enjoy a memorable spring break. In fact, the local area has so much to offer for both families and couples. So we went ahead and put together some itineraries for your spring break staycation in Green Bay!

Green Bay Staycation for Families

Day One

Open Riding at GBASO: Kickstart your day at the Green Bay Action Sports Organization. Their open riding sessions cater to all skill levels, providing a safe and welcoming environment for kids who want to try something new or hone their skills. Plus, there’s no commitment since they offer day passes, skateboard and scooter rentals, as well as helmets and pads.

School House: If you haven’t been inside School House in a while (or ever), it’s a must-visit during your Green Bay staycation! Essentially, it’s a traditional toy store with an emphasis on creativity, building, and exploration. But on top of that, they also carry fun learning resources like workbooks, classroom supplies, and the biggest collection of fidgets in town!

Movie at the Mulva: A lot of people don’t realize that the Mulva Cultural Center has a wide range of films on rotation at all times. For example, this month you can see movies like Mysteries of the Unseen World, Spaceballs, and Star Wars on their top-of-the-line Samsung Onyx screen… one of only three in the entire country!

Cheesesteak Rebellion: Once hunger strikes, head on over to Cheesesteak Rebellion. This local gem specializes in authentic cheesesteaks, butter burgers, homemade soups, cheesecakes, and more. Plus, they have a bunch of pinball machines and Star Wars-themed paraphernalia, so the kids (and grown ups) will have a great time!

Hyatt Regency Green Bay: The best part of any staycation is the hotel. It makes it feel like you’ve actually traveled somewhere! We recommend spending the night at the Hyatt Regency Green Bay. The whole family will enjoy the indoor pool, grab-and-go market, and centralized downtown location. Plus, they’re pet-friendly so you can bring your puppers with you!

Day Two

The Village Grille: In the morning, you can enjoy breakfast at the hotel, or you can start your morning with a meal at The Village Grille in Allouez. The younger kids in your family will obviously love the Mickey Mouse Pancakes and the rest of the gang will be all about their heartier options, like the Philly Cheese Steak Skillet or their delicious Eggs Benedict.

Fonferek's Glen County Park: After breakfast, explore the natural beauty of Fonferek's Glen County Park, located just a few miles from The Village Grille. Here, you will be able to enjoy natural waterfalls, limestone cliffs, and scenic hiking trails. It's the perfect spot for some fresh air and maybe even some new family photos!

Zesty’s Frozen Custard and Grill: Wrap up your staycation with something everybody can agree on. Zesty’s Frozen Custard is whipped fresh in house every few hours, and you can actually taste the care that goes into it. Not sure what to order? The Ooey Gooey Cookie Dough Scramble — crammed full of fudge, caramel, and cookie dough — is always a win!

Green Bay Staycation for Couples

Day One

Odyssey Climbing: Start your staycation with a little adventure! Odyssey Climbing + Fitness is a welcoming space for climbers of all skill levels… even total beginners! Whether you're tackling the bouldering walls together or harnessing up for a top-rope climb, this is such a fun and active way to make some new memories together.

Press Coffee & Juice Bar: After your climb, recharge with a cold drink at Press Coffee & Juice Bar, located inside the nearby Legacy Hotel. Their “Radiance” juice has watermelon, strawberry, lime, and mint — basically, it’s like springtime in a glass. For something a little more substantial, you can’t go wrong with one of their Choconana or Strawberry Oatmeal smoothies.

Lion's Mouth Bookstore: What could be cuter than a day date at a local bookstore? Hold hands as you browse through the carefully curated selection of books at Lion's Mouth Bookstore. The cozy ambiance makes it a delightful place to discover new reads together.

Mangiare: Nothing says date night like Italian and Mangiare Italian Restaurant does it well. Their menu is full of delicious options inspired by the Tuscany region in Italy, like the Frutti di Mare (fresh mussels, shrimp, and clams sauteed in spicy arrabbiata over bucatini) and the Bolognese (veal, pork, and beef ragu over tagliatelle with fresh parmesan). Yum!

Titletown Brewing Sky Lounge: After dinner, enjoy a nightcap and some great panoramic city views at Titletown Brewing Company's Sky Lounge. The cocktail menu is full of favorites like the Classic Old Fashioned, or maybe you want to try one of their “Brewtails” like the Brass Monkey. This innovative drink features their 400 Honey Ale, Absolut Citron, and orange juice.

St. Brendan's Inn: End the night with an overnight stay at St. Brendan's Inn, where Irish hospitality meets boutique charm. Their rooms feature luxurious spa tubs, making it the perfect place to unwind with your favorite someone. Before heading to bed, stop by the on-site pub and order a pint of Guinness or an Irish Coffee to enjoy by the fireplace in the cozy bog snug.

Day Two

Brunch at Oakley's: Start your day with a delicious brunch at Oakley's in De Pere. They describe themselves as “an elevated brunch spot and bar featuring upscale artisanal fare, craft cocktails, and specialty coffee beverages with something for everyone.” We describe them as a local obsession and THE place to get an amazing benny.

Paintin' Pottery: After brunch, tap into your creative side at Paintin' Pottery, where you can design your own unique keepsakes. Choose from a variety of paintable pottery pieces, or try other fun DIY projects like wood signs, thumbprint charms, glass fusing, and more!

De Pere Riverwalk and Wildlife Viewing Pier: After you’re done being all cute and crafty, take a scenic stroll along the De Pere Riverwalk and Wildlife Viewing Pier. This recreational walkway provides access to the Fox River and Government Island, a treasured Historic District. You might also catch a glimpse of the birds and waterfowl that populate our area!
