It’s the new year, which means you’re probably thinking about all the ways you want to expand your horizons. Workshops are a great way to jump into a new hobby or explore something a little outside your comfort zone. We want to help you fill up your calendar, so we put together a list of inspiring places and events that will have you feeling proud of yourself in 2026.
Ginger Birch
This adorable floral studio and gift shop holds workshops throughout the year on everything from knitting to wreath making to intention setting. The owner, Angie, is a joyful person who loves bringing people together to learn from each other. Even if you don’t have anyone to be your plus one, you will be welcomed with open arms, and you will leave with several new friends and a new hobby or two! Check out their workshops page to see what’s coming up!
Mulva Cultural Center

The Mulva is a favorite for their rotating exhibits, fascinating films, and, of course, their mouth-watering restaurant, Savour. But did you know they offer interesting workshops, too? For example, this month they have a Bob Ross painting class where you can learn some of his signature painting techniques to create realistic mountains and happy little trees! If painting isn’t your thing, be sure to watch their events page for other workshops throughout the year!
Wonders by Women
Wonders By Women is a collective of local artists and crafters who are passionate about teaching people new skills! When you walk into the retail space, you will see that they are passionate about quilting and sewing, but they offer so much more. Their Facebook page has upcoming events that include making paper flowers, Dungeons and Dragons, and even Hebrew! No matter what you’re focusing on in 2026, they have something that aligns.
Roots on 9th
Another local floral shop that knows how to bring the fun is Roots on 9th (if you’ve been to Plant Bingo, you know what we’re talking about). If you want to learn more about creating custom trellises, building a moss pole, repotting plants, or just making some cute planters, these are your people. And, many events have a “bring your own beverage” option so you can make a whole night of it with your favorite people. Check their events page to see what’s next!
Luna Glo Candle Bar

Another newbie on our list is Luna Glo Candle Bar, which just opened in December in the downtown district! This is a great option for visitors because as long as they’re open, you can walk in and learn how to make a candle from scratch. The typical scent blending experience at Luna Glo takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the size of your group. It’s a great opportunity to learn a new skill, and it won’t take up your entire day or evening!
Green Bay Botanical Garden

Did you know that the Green Bay Botanical Garden has standalone adult classes? They do! Class offerings are announced three times per year in April, August, and January, and it’s always exciting to see the lineup. Their winter classes haven’t been posted quite yet, but in the past, they have offered yoga, cooking, photography, flower crafting, and more. It’s a great opportunity to pick a few different things to try and see what sticks!
Titletown

We talk about Titletown a lot, but we don’t always talk about the incredible lineup of classes and workshops they offer. For example, they offer Crafts + Cocktails classes every month where you can show up, make something, sip a beverage, and take your masterpiece home with you! Titletown also has a Crochet Club every Tuesday where you can drop in and work on projects or get help, Zumba, Art Wellness, Game Night Social Club, and even Puzzle Wars!
Hands on Deck
Hands on Deck is an awesome organization that teaches kids the art of woodworking through classes and workshops. For visitors, their Explorers Program is perfect because it allows kids (ages 5+) to drop in and create something with help from their staff. They can learn how to cut wood, assemble the pieces, and then paint it once it’s complete. This program introduces kids to a useful skill that they might want to learn more about as they get older!
Flour Pot
If “cook more meals at home” is on your 2026 bingo card, Flour Pot is a place you should check out next time you visit. They have a calendar full of classes where you can learn how to make fresh pasta, sea moss smoothies, pierogies, and everything in between! They also have several Jamaican-inspired classes coming up; perfect for warming yourself up in the cold winter.
Here’s to an inspiring new year and a playful energy that loves to try new things! Which of these classes is speaking to you the most?
