For episode 12 of Mentor Moments, our match spent the day getting creative at Luna Glo Candle Bar, mixing scents, pouring candles, and sharing a few laughs along the way.
Madison, along with her Big Sisters Sam and Megan, jumped right into the process, smelling dozens of fragrances and narrowing them down to their favorites for each candle. From musky and tobacco-inspired blends to holiday-ready scents, and a fruity blueberry creation, every candle reflected their personalities and preferences!
“I love it. I like it. It’s blueberry,” Madison said while testing out different combinations, fully in her element during the experience.
Beyond the candles, the outing highlighted what Mentor Moments is really about, connection and confidence. Sam and Megan shared how they’ve watched Madison grow over the years, coming out of her shell, trying new things, and building confidence that carries into other areas of her life.
“Before I met Megan and Sam, I didn’t really have anybody to hang out with,” Madison shared. “When I met them, I got to go out more and learn new things, which helped me figure out what I wanted to do.”
That growth, paired with the simple joy of spending time together, is what makes outings like this so meaningful.
