The new year is here! And with it comes the universal urge to balance out all those holiday couch marathons and Christmas binges (no judgment—lounging on the couch eating candy while you watch A Muppet Christmas Carol for the third time in a week is what the end of the year is all about).
Luckily, Green Bay is packed with plenty of fun fitness options you can try out in 2025. If you’re not ready to commit to a membership or just crave variety, this list is for you!
Odyssey Climbing & Fitness
Ready to test your mettle 47 feet in the air? Green Bay’s climbing gym is calling your name! Odyssey features climbing walls with options for all skill levels and a 120-foot horizontal bouldering wall for those who like to stay a little closer to the ground. They’re also known for their incredibly welcoming staff and community, so whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned climber, you’ll fit right in.
Drop in during their open hours with a $25 day pass and climb all day. You can even leave and come back later if you need a breather. The day pass rate includes rental climbing gear and an orientation (required for first-timers). Save a little time and complete the Visitor’s Agreement before you go!
Aerial Dance
Ready to channel your inner circus star? Aerial Dance in De Pere will help you defy gravity (and probably your comfort zone) with drop-in classes in hoop, hammock, and silks. You’ll get a chance to learn poses, basic inverts, spins, tricks, and more!
Drop-in classes are $29 each and while they are primarily woman-only, they do run co-ed classes throughout the week as well. And if you’d like to work your way up to the more challenging stuff, they also have fitness classes that keep your feet firmly on the ground to help you build strength, flexibility, and confidence before it’s time to get airborne.
Western Racquet & Fitness Club
There’s nothing like a little camaraderie to keep you moving, and group fitness classes are a great way to keep your fitness motivation up while you fill your social battery! Western Racquet & Fitness Club in Ashwaubenon boasts a huge variety of group fitness classes – we’re talking over 55 options on their weekly schedule. You will NOT have a hard time finding something you love!
Try kickboxing, strength, barre, yoga, cycling, HIIT, dance, meditation, and more, plus small group Premier Classes (for an extra fee) like Pilates Human Reformer, boxing, rowing, TRX, and stretching. Day passes cost $7 if you’re visiting with a member and $14 if you’re visiting solo. Who knows—maybe 2025 is the year you meet your new bestie at the barre?
Kroc Center
The Kroc’s got you covered in the group fitness department as well—bootcamp, barre, strength, stretch, yoga, cycle, Zumba, and more. But what about adding a little water to the mix? The Kroc’s aquatic center offers a variety of group classes in the pool, including Aqua Barre, Aqua Cycling, Aqua Yoga, and more. Is 2025 the year you start working out like a mermaid? The Kroc’s day pass is $15 per person, which includes access to the fitness facilities and all group classes.
YWCA
If you’re looking for an aquatic experience for the whole family? Maybe a way to burn off some energy or get some laps in? The YWCA in downtown Green Bay has you covered with fun aquatic group classes like Water Tai Chi, and Pool Noodle Mania, plus open swim times in their two warm water pools. Day passes are $10 per visit for adults and open swim passes for the whole family are also available for just $15 per family.
Crossfit920
If you’ve already been on your fitness grind and want to take things up a notch, check out Crossfit920 on the east side of Green Bay. $25 will get you a pass so you can drop into a class and kick it into high gear with heavy lifting, burpees, pull-ups, kettlebells, and more. The best part? Classes always vary in activities, so you’ll never get bored!
Yoga
Okay, now that you’ve contemplated doing some hardcore box jumps at the Crossfit gym, it’s time to slow it down and focus on that mind-body connection. Green Bay has no shortage of yoga studios and most of them offer drop-in classes, so we’ve compiled a list of some of the best-rated studios in Green Bay below. Bop around town, work on that crow pose, and find your fave studio vibe.
