Community Ceremony
Kick off the July 4th celebration with a community ceremony featuring a traditional color guard, Pledge of Allegiance, and national anthem performed by Green Bay Southwest High School singers. The ceremony will also feature several community performances, including a reading from the city’s Poet Laureate, a performance from the Oneida Smoke Dancers, live music from the Weidner Philharmonic Brass Ensemble, and more.

Stars & Strides on the Fox
Get ready to celebrate 250 years of America —at the Stars & Strides on the Fox event! This exciting new 4th of July event downtown Green Bay invites runners, walkers, and families to come together for a patriotic 4-mile run along the scenic Fox River Trail. Show your stars, stripes, and patriotic pride! We encourage all participants to come dressed in their best red, white, and blue.
Bring the whole family along for the fun! The 4 mile timed event will be followed by a 1/2 Mile non-timed Kids Run for our youngest patriots & family members.
Combine patriotic fun with an active way to start your holiday at Stars & Strides on the Fox!

Fire Over the Fox
Don’t miss one of Green Bay’s favorite events of the year—Fire Over the Fox! This annual celebration features a day full of music, family-friendly activities, live music, food and beverage vendors, artisan market, performance by the Waterboard Warriors, and, of course, the big fireworks show at dusk.

Dudley Birder Chorale: Let Freedom Sing

Orchestra at the Airport: Wings of Freedom
The Civic Symphony Orchestra of Green Bay will perform a full program of patriotic songs in their fourth annual Orchestra at the Airport concert. Doors open at 12:00pm. Activities include kids craft projects, full-motion flight simulator, raffle, face painting, and more.

Green Bay City Band: Happy Birthday USA
Enjoy the Green Bay City Band play a lineup of patriotic music as well as collaborate with a bagpiper and the Dudley Birder Chorale.

Weidner Philharmonic: American 250 in Green Bay
The Weidner Philharmonic’s brass and percussion ensemble will perform selections from patriotic songs like “Star Spangled March,” as well as medleys from “West Side Story” and “Star Wars,” led by UW-Green Bay Chancellor Michael Alexander.

Heritage Hill: A 250th Family Celebration
Step back in time and discover some of the defining moments that shaped the nation. Activities for this event include a seed spitting contest and pie eating contest, Fife & Drum Corp and AVB Community band performances, and J Dogz and Fundae Scoop food trucks.

Curiosity Unveiled: America 250
Spend an hour at the Neville learning about some of the historic events that were happening in and around Wisconsin during America’s revolutionary history. This guided program will dive deeper into various museum exhibits and collections.

Makers in Action: Urban Cultural Arts Red, White, and Blue Sand Candle Workshop
Celebrate America’s birthday with a fun candle-making project led by Urban Cultural Arts. Participants will create their own custom layered sand candle using vibrant red, white, and blue candle sand. This workshop is beginner-friendly, so no experience is necessary!
