On Green Bay’s east side, Coffee Wizardz is all about intention, care, and a deep focus on quality. Co-owner Sam Brown built the shop from years of experience in the coffee industry, eventually deciding to create something that fully reflected his own approach.

“I started getting this feeling like I was making other people’s businesses look good,” he said. “My thoughts around coffee didn’t always align with the people that own the company.”

That perspective shaped what Coffee Wizardz is today. Every drink is carefully crafted, with precise measurements and a strong attention to detail behind the bar. From the way ingredients are weighed to how recipes are developed, the goal is simple, serve the best coffee possible.

That same mindset carries into how they source and roast their beans. Rather than focusing on origin or trends, the team prioritizes taste above all else. “It should be about how it tastes, not where it’s from,” Sam said. “At the end of the day, how does the coffee taste? Is it good?”

At Coffee Wizardz, it’s a balance of science and human instinct. While technology helps guide the roasting process, it ultimately comes down to experience and intuition. As Sam put it, “A computer can’t smell. It’s got to be driven by a person.”

Beyond the coffee itself, the space feels cozy and inviting, the kind of place where you can settle in, slow down, and stay awhile. It’s thoughtful in every sense, from the drinks being served to the atmosphere around you.
