Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and love is in the air in Green Bay! Don’t wait until the last minute to make those Valentine’s plans (panic-booking a reservation on February 13th is so not romantic).
Not sure where to take that special someone? We’ve got you covered with this month’s Ask a Local feature! Whether you’re planning a first date, celebrating an anniversary, or just trying to impress someone by pronouncing “charcuterie” correctly, our residents know the perfect place to get a little lovey-dovey together.
Wine & Dine

Angelina’s
Green Baes (yes, still trying to make it happen) love their Italian food! Angelina’s was our most recommended restaurant by a landslide.
“Angelinas è bellissima. The Chef is from Sicily, and it shows!” - rahanjello on reddit
Amphora Wine Bar
Described by locals as “intimate and charming,” Amphora is the perfect spot for wine lovers who want a romantic evening of pinots and lingering eye contact. Not into wine? Amphora’s got you covered with champagne, cocktails, and craft beers. And if you’re feeling a little hungry, try one of their shareable plates, like the spicy lamb meatballs or stuffed dates.
Tavern in the Sky
This spot is for couples who are feeling extra fancy. The Lambeau views alone make it special, but the food seals the deal. erroneousbit on reddit shared: “We always go to Tavern in the Sky for our anniversaries. Smoked cheese platter is awesome. Food and service have always been great. IDK, I guess it’s all about feeling fancy and special for a day.”
It just goes to show you that in Wisconsin, even the fanciest bites are still cheese-based.
River’s Bend
“River's Bend is nice if you want someplace a little quieter and buttoned-down.” - brannock_ on Reddit
River’s Bend offers that classic supper club charm with a touch of elegance. Cozy up near the fireplace and take in those riverside views while you Lady & the Tramp your fettuccine alfredo or sip an ice cream cocktail together.
Orsetta
Orsetta may be the newer kid on the block, but it has already made itself at home in the Green Bay foodie scene and was recommended by several locals. This chef-owned restaurant is all about fresh flavors and creative dishes. Try unique pastas, artisan pizza, and farm-to-table entrees like braised beef short rib or barramundi.
YagotheDirty on Reddit put it best: “If you haven’t been to Orsetta yet, it’s our new favorite.”
Club Chalet
Another supper club with a view! Club Chalet is a great place for a romantic date (especially if you like ice cream cocktails).
“The pastas, salmon, and pork chops are all stellar. I’m slowly eating my way through the menu whenever my partner and I go.” -QuickasLightning
Mangiare Italian Restaurant
Mangiare brings Tuscan-inspired flavors and heartfelt service you’ll feel.
One local told us: “We went for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. When they found out it was our anniversary, they gave us free dessert! We got the cannoli. It was AMAZING.” - local

Out & About

Igloos at Hagemeister Park
The riverside igloos at Hagemeister Park have become a winter romance staple. Each igloo comes with cozy touches like pillows, blankets, candles, music, and board games. One local resident says, “The igloos at Hagemeister Park are genuinely romantic if you book later at night. Way better if you treat it as apps and drinks instead of a full dinner. Walk the CityDeck after when it's quiet and cold, and it feels weirdly intimate in a very Green Bay-ey way.”
Mulva Center
Hold hands while you explore the Mulva’s current exhibits or take in a film in the 200-seat state-of-the-art auditorium. After, grab a bite to eat at Savour on Broadway or Gourmet on the Go, both located inside.
“IMO, a super underrated option is the Mulva Center. It's free and never overcrowded, and gives you natural conversation without feeling like a stressful date.” - realtorcole on Reddit
Ice Skating at Titletown
Link arms and glide around under the lights of Titletown!
One resident said, “If you want a playful date, skating at Titletown is a great move. Even if you are bad at it like me, it's still a really good time. Warm drinks after are mandatory.”
Green Bay Ghost Tour
Hear us out! Romance is not the first thing that came to mind when a local recommended a ghost tour, but after some consideration, we thought, “What could be more romantic than experiencing the paranormal together?”
Get a guided tour through centuries past, legendary stories, folklore, and ghost experiences, plus go inside actual haunted buildings. They even provide EMF detectors so you can do your own investigating. Just don’t squeeze your date’s hand too hard while you traverse through the unknown!
Couples Massage

Several locals recommended a couple's spa day for some romance-infused relaxation. Some of the recommendations were the couples packages at Elite Spa, the “Massage Two-gether” service at Kohler Waters Spa, and the Spa Date package at The Day Spa in De Pere.
Honorable Mentions
“For food dates, find the small places with low table counts if you really want to impress your date. Archie's and Picasso Moon both nail that feeling where you can actually hear each other talk and not feel rushed. They are both newer too, so it's always good to support small!” - realtorcole on Reddit
“If you like doing stuff outdoors, snowshoeing can be pretty romantic. It’s so peaceful right after a snowfall. I usually bring a thermos of cocoa to share, too,” said one local. (Residents can find over 9 miles of snowshoeing trails at Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve, Neshota Park, and the Reforestation Camp.)
“We did a date at The Flour Pot and learned to make macarons,” one resident told us. And what could be more romantic than making (and then eating) yummy treats together?
