Have your kiddos got the zoomies? Have YOU got the zoomies?

Once February hits in Green Bay, the stir-crazy energy starts creeping in. And if you’ve got little ones bouncing off the walls, multiply that crazy by about a thousand.

If you’re suddenly feeling the urge to rearrange furniture or simply cannot sit through one more repeat viewing of K-Pop Demon Hunters, this one’s for you.

With a stretch of long, cold days behind us and fresh snow ahead, it’s the perfect time shake off the cabin fever and get out of the house! Here are 9 fun ways to burn off that energy, stay entertained, and make winter feel a little more lively.

GBASO (Green Bay Action Sports Organization)

GBASO Skate Park

We can’t think of a better way to release some energy than sending it down a ramp on a scooter—and we know a lot of kids who agree with us.

If you’ve got some skater bois and girls on your hands, GBASO is the place to be. Founded in 2014, GBASO has become Green Bay’s premier action sports complex, offering a wide variety of programs, classes, camps, and open skate hours for the community. All ages and skill levels are welcome, and skateboards, scooters, helmets, and pads are available for rental, so you can show up ready to roll.

Brown County Libraries

Brown County Library

Nobody keeps the party going like the library—yes, we said the library.

With endless opportunities for curious folks of all ages, Brown County Libraries are a great place to escape the winter chill while still getting out of the house. Check their events calendar for everything from weekly storytimes (including bilingual options) to teen activities like Puzzle Mania and Bracelet & Button Making. Plus, you can check out way more than books! Bring home cake pans, carnival games, coding kits, board games, video games, DVDs, and more. It’s basically a one-stop shop for relief from that at-home restlessness.

Let’s Run Around

Lets Run Around

This family-owned indoor playground offers a variety of play options for kiddos, including age separated playground, a track, rope climbers, turfed areas, swings, an infant play area, and more. There is even a designated picnic area complete with a coffee shop run by Kompound Cafe, plus snacks and drinks available—so you can sip your latte while the kids live their best lives in the bounce house.
