March is Women's History Month so we thought it would be fun to do a round-up of some of our favorite women-owned businesses in Green Bay! On this list, you’ll find a variety of places with one very important thing in common: a knowledgeable and friendly woman at the helm. Be sure to put these places at the top of your “must-visit” list the next time you come!

McKayla Marie Sweets

McKayla Marie Sweets is a gourmet bakery that specializes in macarons, cookies, brownies, bars, specialty cakes, and more. McKayla is incredibly talented; she studied at The Culinary Institute of America in New York and worked in some very prestigious restaurants before coming back home to Green Bay to open her bakery. And we are so lucky she did because now we can enjoy her sweet treats whenever we visit her shop at 2160 Holmgren Way.

DIRT Juicery

Dirt Juicery is a juice and smoothie bar owned by sisters Melissa and Kendra. They are both nutritionists and specialize in organic, cold-pressed juices, hand-crafted smoothies, and bowls packed with energizing, nutrient-rich ingredients. They have two locations — one in Howard and one in Ashwaubenon — and each one has cozy seating, grab-and-go food items, and knowledgeable staff to help you pick the perfect drink or cleanse for your needs!

Twist Boutique

If you’re looking for comfortable clothing that shows off your fun personality, you are going to love browsing Twist Boutique in Ashwaubenon. The owner, Trish Bosman, is such a warm and welcoming presence, and she will stop at nothing to help you find the perfect pieces. 90% of the items in her boutique are made in the USA and primarily small businesses. Trish has even designed her own “Twist” line of tunics, tops, and extenders sizes XS-4X.

Lion’s Mouth Bookstore

There’s just something extra special about a locally-owned bookstore and here in Green Bay, we’re fortunate to have a fantastic (and cozy) one right in our downtown district! Lion's Mouth Bookstore stocks both new and used titles for all ages and interests, as well as bookish gifts and goods. The shop is owned by the sweet and knowledgeable Amy Mazzariello, who has been selling books to Green Bay locals and visitors alike for over a decade!

Sweet Willow Herbal Co-Op

Sweet Willow Herbal Co-Op and Sweet Willow Wellness are two women-owned shops that operate together in one venue in De Pere. It is the go-to place for organic herbs and spices, loose-leaf teas, non-toxic bath and body products, sustainable home goods, herbal tinctures, and so much more! They also offer vegan and vegetarian foods, including homemade soups, sandwiches, baked goods, homemade sauces, and local organic produce!

Arkhan Thai Cuisine

If you love authentic Thai, Lao, and Hmong cuisine, you are in for a real treat at Arkhan Thai Cuisine. Anastazia Vang recently re-opened this beloved restaurant in a new location on Military Avenue in Green Bay. Locals are obsessed with the Boat Noodles (Pho Natok) but there are so many amazing things to try on the menu. They also feature specials quite often, such as Pork Belly Curry and Tomato Ginger Tilapia. You really can’t go wrong!
