Part of the fun of visiting Green Bay is getting a chance to discover the places that locals love. Beyond the big attractions, there are creative studios, cozy cafes, unique shops, and relaxed hangouts that make a place feel extra special.

We’ve compiled a list of 10 places to check out, and even better, each of these businesses is women-owned! Perfect for Women’s History Month!

Luna Glo Candle Bar

Lunaglo Candle Bar

Luna Glo Candle Bar is the perfect stop if you want to have a great time and create a memorable souvenir to take back home with you. Owner Sherry Smith has created a cozy haven where you can blend your own custom scent and pour a candle that’s completely your style. It’s a relaxed, low-pressure activity that works just as well for a date night as it does for a small group of friends!

RISE UP Experiences

Ashley Maas created RISE UP Experiences as a way to bring people together through thoughtful workshops and guided sessions. The events she curates focus on connection, reflection, and growth in a way that’s welcoming and down-to-earth. It would be such a fun add-on to your weekend in town, especially if you’re looking for something a little bit different to mix into your plans.

Homestead Decor

Homestead Decor feels like stepping into a beautifully styled home, filled with carefully chosen décor, gifts, and seasonal finds. The adjoining restaurant next door, Grapevine Café (owned by the same woman), offers a cozy spot to sit down for coffee, breakfast, or lunch. It’s easy to spend a full morning here browsing, chatting, and enjoying a slower pace.

Duck Creek Golf Center

Duck Creek Golf Center is a women- and family-owned driving range and 18-hole mini golf course. It’s a laid-back place to spend a little time outdoors, hitting a bucket of balls or practicing your hole-in-one. The golf center usually opens in mid- to late-April, so be sure to check their Facebook page as you plan your time in Green Bay!

Rummele's Jewelers

DTN - ROS - Rummele's Jewelers

Rummele’s Jewelers is owned by Tracy Alpert, and it is one of *the* places to go if you’re looking for fine jewelry and watches. The pieces in their downtown showroom are beautifully crafted and instantly become lasting keepsakes. The service you get when you walk through the doors is next level, so it’s a fun place to go and browse, even if you’re just looking.

Hotel Stebbins

A short drive along the (gorgeous) lakeshore will bring you to Hotel Stebbins in Algoma. This boutique is full of historic charm, combined with some thoughtful modern updates. The hotel is located just two blocks away from Lake Michigan, so it’s a great place to stay if you want to be able to walk to the beach and explore the adorable area that is Algoma.

The Nest Cowork Space

The Nest is a women-owned coworking space, perfect for visitors who need to mix a little bit of work into their trip. Day passes are available, so you can plug in, connect to fast Wi-Fi, and settle into a productive space without committing long-term. It’s a convenient option that lets you stay on track while still enjoying your time in Green Bay!

Not By Bread Alone

We’ve now come to the food part of our women-owned business list (yum!) and we’re starting with a local favorite… Not By Bread Alone. If you talk to anyone who has been there, they’re going to tell you to try the sausage bread, so, you know, try the sausage bread. 😉 But honestly, everything there is amazing and you’re going to be so glad you stopped in.

Plae Bistro

Plae Bistro Pizza

Another option if you’re looking for a great women-owned restaurant for lunch or dinner is Plae Bistro. Plae has built a strong local following thanks to its fresh ingredients and creative menu. The atmosphere feels polished but relaxed, making it a great spot to settle in for a meal that feels a little elevated… without being stuffy or over the top.

Smart Cow Yogurt Bar

Time for dessert! Smart Cow Yogurt Bar keeps things simple and fun. Swirl your favorite frozen flavors together, pile on some toppings, and enjoy the exact treat you’re craving. Every time you visit, you’ll find a rotating roster of frozen yogurt, sorbet, gelato, Italian ice, and custard. Not to mention, dozens upon dozens of cereals, nuts, candies, and sauces to put on top!
