The Australian Museum (AM) in Sydney, Australia has announced that its highly successful Sharks exhibition is going on a U.S. tour, with four stops including the Mulva Cultural Center.
The blockbuster, immersive exhibit spotlights the amazing world of sharks, featuring 10 life-sized, scientifically accurate models along with cutting edge, state-of-the-art projections, cultural artifacts and interactive video content highlighting nearly 200 shark species.
“We know the public will be as excited about this incredible exhibit as we are,” explained Mulva Cultural Center CEO, Mike Van Asten. “Sharks will be the fourth major exhibit of our inaugural season lineup, coming to the Mulva in the fall of 2024.” The first U.S. stop for the exhibit will be in Miami, followed by San Antonio, the Mulva Cultural Center in De Pere and then Grand Rapids, Michigan.
“To be able to secure an international exhibit of this stature, and to be one of just four U.S. exhibit stops, really reflects the caliber of the Mulva Cultural Center,” added Van Asten.
An announcement regarding the inaugural season of the Mulva Cultural Center will take place in the next 6-8 weeks. “Stay tuned, we have more great news to share; not only about the other featured major exhibits, but also additional engaging and interesting exhibits we have booked for our first year,” said Van Asten. The facility will open in early fall 2023.
