Green Bay, Wis – Discover Green Bay is celebrating National Travel and Tourism Week, May 1-6, 2022, by highlighting the future of tourism in our region.

Discover Green Bay President and CEO Brad Toll along with community leaders shared how bright that future is during a press conference held outside the new Resch Expo Center.

Among the highlights of the event was the unveiling of the new Discover Green Bay Mobile Visitors Center. The repurposed ambulance, donated by the City of Green Bay and the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, is a nod to the tailgating and fun-loving atmosphere that Green Bay provides to visitors to the region.

The vehicle is equipped with a retractable awning, mounted televisions for video display, a custom sound system, custom wrapped interior and exterior, and plenty of storage for Green Bay merchandise, visitor guides, interactive games, display tables, and more. The Mobile Visitor Center will be featured at community events both within the region and outside of our area to attract visitors.

The event also highlighted the $1.2 billion economic impact that is brought by the more than 6 million visitors to our region. Local leaders shared how developments, like the Resch Expo, Titletown, the Mulva Cultural Center, various hotel renovations, and other projects in Brown County will help grow the tourism industry in the region.

In addition, Discover Green Bay announced the launch of its new website at www.greenbay.com which has a multitude of new features to help guide visitor’s planning a trip to Brown County. Among the new features is a hotel booking page that will allow website visitors to compare rates and book their hotel.
