GREEN BAY, WI. - The Coca-Cola Collectors Club is here in Green Bay for their 48th Annual International Convention. The Hyatt Regency Green Bay will host collectors from around the world July 05-09. Collectors will buy, sell and display items from the company's 136-year history.
The Coca-Cola Collectors Club was established in 1974 to unite collectors from around the world to share their interest in one of the oldest, most popular soft drinks. These collectors fill their homes with signs, tray, bottles and so much more, all related to the history of The Coca-Cola Company and their related brands. After skipping a visit to Green Bay, due to COVID-19, these collectors are FINALLY ready to get out and see their friends and fellow collectors in Green Bay. Annual conventions are held each July.
Bill Combs, president of the Coca-Cola Collectors Club, said the Hyatt in Green Bay was worth waiting for this year. “Everyone involved has gone out of their way to make our rescheduled event a success, " said Combs. "I can’t think of a better place to work with. The Hyatt Regency, convention bureau, the local Coca-Cola bottler, and quite frankly the businesses and people around the area have been amazing to work with. Get ready Green Bay, we’re coming to town!”
While the club has standard business meetings and banquets, they also have “members only” actions and seminars. During the conventions, the attendees open up their hotel rooms nightly and “room hop,” going from room to room buying, selling and sharing knowledge about their collectibles.
While the convention is mostly for members only, there is a public event for locals to attend. On the final day, the convention opens up to the public for a large Coca-Cola and more Swap Meet. This will take place on Saturday, July 09, 2022 from 9 am-1 pm at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. If visitors would like to know the value of one of their collectibles, there will be a table set up at the Swap Meet for the president of the club to assist attendees with free appraisals.
