Today the NFL announced their decision to award the 2024 NFL Draft to Detroit. Though we are disappointed by the news, we are proud of the bid that Discover Green Bay and the Green Bay Packers provided the NFL and are excited to continue working with them to bring this spectacular event to the Green Bay Area in the future. We remain optimistic on that opportunity. Discover Green Bay would like to extend our congratulations to the Detroit area for their successful bid.
Discover Green Bay, as the area’s official destination marketing organization, bids on dozens of pieces of business each year. Green Bay is a premier destination for events, meetings, conferences, group tours, sporting events and leisure travelers with more than 6 million visitors each year. Each piece of business is unique in its needs and requirements. Though we are awarded many events, some choose other locations, and many times choose Green Bay for future events.
Green Bay submitted bids for the 2024 and future NFL Drafts and Discover Green Bay will continue working with the Green Bay Packers, the NFL and members of the community to bring future events to our community.
