Downtown Green Bay has some serious chef-driven dinner options in a range of cuisines. When it comes to American food, Chefusion Eclectic Cuisine & Lounge offers a culinary experience that is guaranteed to blow you away. For the steak lovers out there, Republic Chophouse is THE place to go for an unforgettable meal with an elevated twist.
Slander is an upscale restaurant with a rotating seasonal menu that features the best of the best local ingredients and The Walnut Room, located inside Hotel Northland, has a dinner menu—and wine list—that’s truly exquisite.
If you’re looking for International cuisine, downtown Green Bay is THE place. Al dente is a way of life at Angelina Authentic Italian Cuisine, where everything is made from scratch, from the Caprese to the Rigatoni Alla Rustica to the Tiramisu.
Little Tokyo is Green Bay’s first sushi bar featuring traditional Japanese cuisine and sushi rolls. More of a meat and potatoes person? Grab a seat near the bog snug (Irish for sitting area) at St. Brendan’s Inn and order a Shepherd’s Pie or the Guinness Pot Roast.

For the nightlife crowd, there are plenty of places downtown where you can grab a beverage and make some new friends! For wine lovers, there’s the Aardvark Wine Lounge, Studio 1212 Cafe and Wine Bar, and the Amorpha Wine Bar. Copper State Brewing Company has incredible craft beer brewed right on-site, and they also have a fantastic food menu full of unique gastropub favorites.
Titletown Brewing Company has 16 beers on tap and plenty of screens to catch whatever game you’re interested in. Or, if you’re looking to experience one of the traditional neighborhood pubs that Green Bay is so well known for, try Keggers or Richard Craniums!
HOP ON A TOUR!
Guided tours are the perfect way to get to know the area and see the sights. Book a relaxing river excursion with Fox River Tours. Choose from either a private or public charter and float down a 40-mile stretch of the Fox River.
For something a little more upbeat and active, hop on the Foxy Pedaler! This “party bike” seats up to 14, and it’s more than just a bar-on-wheels—it’s a great way to see the city! Or, you can tour downtown on two wheels on a guided Segway the Fox tour (don’t worry, they’ll teach you how to ride it first).
Feeling brave? Put a little fright in your night with Green Bay Ghost Tours. Hear the history of Green Bay's downtown district and learn about the ghosts who still haunt the buildings to this day. During the tour, you can even enter a few buildings and use EMF detectors to try to pick up paranormal activity. Don’t worry, even though it’s a little bit spooky, this tour is family-friendly.
HERE WE ARE NOW, ENTERTAIN US
The downtown district is home to some of Green Bay’s best attractions. For starters, take the family to the Neville Public Museum to learn the history of the area and see the latest curated exhibits. Be sure to snap a selfie with Mama and Baby Bones by the front door!
Downtown is also home to the Hazelwood Historic House Museum, a classic Greek revival home on the banks of the Fox River. Tour the house and learn about the original residents and learn about Green Bay’s growth from a frontier settlement to a bustling 1830s community.
Lastly, try to catch a show at the historic Meyer Theatre. This venue hosts well-known musicians and comedians, and they’re also home to Let Me Be Frank Productions, a beloved local theater group that’ll have you laughing ‘til your cheeks hurt. The Lyric Room is another great live music venue downtown with local and national acts of all genres performing in an intimate setting.
SHOPPING IN STYLE
Downtown Green Bay has many unique shopping destinations. For the men, Haberdasher Co is a must-visit for the latest clothing, shoes, accessories, and even home goods. While the men try on some new looks, the ladies can walk across the bridge and check out ZuLou on Broadway, a trend-forward boutique with clothing and accessories for all ages!
In need of some reading material? Bosse's News & Tobacco is the perfect place to grab the latest Packers yearbook or a copy of your favorite hard-to-find magazine. They also have a walk-in humidor and 17 custom blended tobacco flavors! Afterward, head to Captain’s Walk Winery for a bottle of locally produced wine or a growler of cider to sip while you read.
Downtown is also home to not just one but TWO awesome bike shops, Pete’s Garage and Broken Spoke Bike Studio. Even if you’re not in the market for a new bike, these are both fun shops to browse in and ask questions about the various styles of bikes that are in stock!
HOW TO GET HERE
From Highway 41: Take the Dousman Street Exit, then drive east on Dousman to Broadway.
From Lambeau Field: Head east on Lombardi Ave. to Ashland. Turn left and take Ashland to Dousman. Turn right and drive until you hit Broadway.
Getting Around: There is metered parking downtown on Broadway and Washington Street, or there is a parking ramp on Washington Street. Downtown is walkable, or there are Bird e-scooters available to rent (find one via the app). These can be driven on roads and bike lanes.
