Weidner Center for the Performing Arts
The Weidner Center for the Performing Arts is located on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay on the far east side of the city. Presenting a wide variety of cultural, entertaining and educational performing arts, the Weidner Center serves the Northeastern Wisconsin community while also hosting the University’s theatrical and musical ensembles. You can see shows by local musicians, traveling theatre troupes, stand-up comedy shows, University musicals and anything else that can be performed on a stage.
This beautiful performing arts center displays original artwork throughout and is full of theatrical traditions formed over the years. The Weidner Center also has world-renowned acoustics. Inside the large concert hall sits on display a large, 16-foot wooden organ with exposed pipes for a visually appealing and grand sounding musical accompaniment. The Grand Foyer is the home to a Dale Chihuly original chandelier made up of hundreds of individually blown glass pieces creating a rainbow of colors.
There are over 2,000 seats available in the main theater and plenty of smaller venues throughout the Weidner Center to host a variety of events and performances. To stay updated on future shows, check out the full list of upcoming events.
