The Children’s Museum of Green Bay
The Children’s Museum of Green Bay, renovated in 2012, is a must-visit destination for families. The museum was named one of the “Top 10 New Destinations in the Midwest” by Midwest Living Magazine and received a “Best of the Bay” nomination.
The Children’s Museum of Green Bay serves the developmental needs and interests of children by providing educational exhibits and programs that stimulate curiosity and motivation through hands-on play and exploration. Children learn through play; they explore and create, conquer fears, develop confidence and master the world around them. The digestive system exhibit is a huge hit, as well as the water gallery, the treehouse, and the under construction area.
The Children’s Museum has a wide variety of workshops and programs. Kids love special ongoing events like Building Literacy with LEGOS, Science Saturdays, Recycled Art Studio and Wee One Hour. The museum offers a Sensory Friendly Night several times a year for children with sensory issues and their families. The museum will be closed to the general public to reduce crowd size and will have altered lighting and sound modification as well as special sensory activities and a cool down area. The Children’s Museum of Green Bay strives to ensure all children who visit feel inspired while playing and exploring the facility.
