NEW Zoo and Adventure Park
The NEW Zoo is located approximately 10 miles northwest of Downtown Green Bay in a town called Suamico. Adjacent to the zoo is an adventure park featuring a dual racing zip line 1,025 feet long, an aerial adventure course and a rock climbing tower.
The Zoo offers many unique opportunities to encounter the 200+ animals. From a feeding tower, guests are able to feed the giraffes. Suri and Hodari will gently take crackers right out of your hand. Get up close to touch the animals in the petting zoo area. Ride on a safari train. Explore the creepy crawlers in the reptile house. Check for baby animals in the Zoo’s nursery.
If you get hungry during your visit, the Mayan “Taste of the Tropics” restaurant is centrally located in the Zoo. It is open year-round and offers healthy food options including salads and wraps in addition to staples like hamburgers, hot dogs, loaded nachos, and mozzarella monkey tails. The building was modeled after a Mayan temple and has gorgeous panoramic views of many of the Zoo’s exhibits while you eat.
Throughout the year are many events to explore the Zoo a little differently. Zoo Boo gives children a chance to visit the Zoo in their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat around the animal exhibits. An annual Birthday Party for the Animals is held to welcome all of your favorite Zoo animals. A full day’s worth of animal watching and fun to be had at the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park. The zoo is open 365 days a year!
