It’s no mystery that game days in Green Bay are a full weekend affair. From tailgating and appreciating the food scene to live music and craft beers, you trip will be beyond legendary.

Thursday

Morning

Pull into town with your spirit blazing with Green and Gold. You will immediately notice Green Bay’s charm as you tour the Titletown District. Open every day, Titletown’s park holds year-round activities, with an ice skating rink and tubing lanes down Ariens Hill in the winter, a full-size football field, a unique playground and plenty of outdoor games and fitness activities in summer, all in the heart of the action. You can even sneak in a round of golf or other fun games at The Turn followed by a local brew and app at Hinterland.

Then, dive into Green Bay and Packers history! If you want to learn more about how the city of Green Bay came to be, you’ll want to visit the Neville Public Museum during your trip. Their permanent “Generations” exhibit takes you through a visual history, from fossils to footballs.

The National Railroad Museum is a great place to visit to learn more about the history of the trains that ran through Greater Green Bay and beyond. This museum is one of the oldest and largest train museums in the country.

Afternoon

Before dinner, you’ll want to knock out those bucket list Lambeau Field adventures. Make sure to check out the Packers Hall of Fame, take a Lambeau Field Stadium Tour and hit the Packers Pro-Shop for game day gear.

Don’t miss out on the Packers Heritage Trail Trolly Tour. From train depots to churches, you'll go back more than 100 years and take a fascinating ride along the Packers Heritage Trail.  With photo opportunities at special landmarks, including stops at old City Stadium and the Heritage Trail Plaza

Evening

Grab dinner at one of Green Bay’s staples – Kroll’s West. Dine in the history of famous visitors such as Brett Farve, Bart Starr, and John Madden (just to name a few)! Serving exceptional American cuisine and charcoal-grilled burgers for over 80 years, Krolls is found directly across from Lambeau Field.

A Nightcap

The perfect way to end your first night in Green Bay is to taste the local wine scene at one of our many wine bars. Studio 1212, Amphora and Aardvark all have a unique vibe that will relax you into your second day on the down.

Friday

Morning

Start with a stroll along the Fox River Trail in the brisk morning air to get your blood moving and ready for your day. Then it’s time for a hearty breakfast.

Enjoy the biggest plate-sized pancakes in the Green Bay Area at The Pancake Place. Voted 12x Best Breakfast from Best of the Bay, The Pancake Place serves more than just pancakes; stuffed hash browns and exceptional homemade soups/sandwich board meet the taste buds of everybody in your group!

After your morning walk and filling breakfast, it’s time to hit the shops! Start Downtown and the Broadway District. You’ll find plenty of unique, walkable shops like Besseli LLC, Beerntsen's Candies or the Exclusive Company and many more! Then head back to the Stadium District for a unique indoor-farmers market experience at Revolution Market

Afternoon

After a quick lunch fuel up, at one of our many cafes, it’s time to hop in the car or ride service and head out to the Brown County Reforestation Camp! But first, stop by Pete’s Garage or the Broken Spoke for fat tire bike rentals so you can explore the wildlife and trails.

You’ll want to warm up after this fun outdoor adventure. So head downtown and check out the hundreds of rare and unique vehicles at the Automobile Gallery. You’ll even find a bit of Packers history and a cinema classic.

Leave a little time in your day to join us at the Discover Green Bay Visitor’s Center Playoff Party on Friday, January 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. We’ll have plenty of fun tailgate games and a chance to win Green Bay prizes! We're located right behind the Packers practice facility at 789 Armed Forces Drive. Then head down town to the Packers Hearitage Trail Plaza for the Downtown Green Bay Packers Pep Rally from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.

Dinner time!

After your butter burger on night one in Green Bay, it’s time for some dining on the “finer” side. You’ll find great steak, seafood and local favorites no matter where you go. Republic Chophouse in Downtown Green Bay is a go-to steak spot for visitors and locals alike. Or, dine like the legends at Poke the Bear inside Hotel Northland, a favorite of Coach Lombardi. If you’re venturing outside of the city limits, Bleu in De Pere or Chives in Howard are can’t miss dining bliss.

Evening

To end your Friday night, stop in at a few of our local craft breweries. In the shadows of Lambeau, you will find Badger State Brewing. Beaming with local pride (Did you know the Badger is our state mammal)? Badger State offers one-of-a-kind local craft brews - a few of our favs… Dubious Ruffian Chocolate Stout, Grassy Place Hazy IPA, &  Brewski.

You’ll want to head back to the Stadium District for the evening and take in all the playoff game atmosphere on Saturday night as we gear up for the game on Sunday. Enjoy dinner at the Green Bay Distillery, Anduzzi’s, the Bar or Stadium View (just to name a few options).

After dinner all of the stadium district spots beaming with Packers pride are walk-able. Most bars will have live music (yes, inside and out. There’s heaters - don’t worry!). Just mingle along in your Green and Gold and celebrate with all the Packers fans flooding Green Bay.

Saturday

IT’S GAME DAY!!!

Attire: Whether it is summer, fall, or winter in Green Bay – your Green and Gold are a must. If your current wardrobe does not contain that, head to the Packer Pro Shop, or any of the local vendors near the stadium district during tailgating. But it's playoff time and it's winter. So be sure to layer up. Use a moisture wicking base layer and then pile on the hoodies and sweat shirts. You'll want a winter hat and throw in a few hand warmers.

Pro tip - buy a jersey a size or two too large. Then you can wear it on top of all the layers.

Breakfast: Don't skip it! Rookie mistake. Whether you're eating quickly at the hotel complimentary breakfast, or stopping at one of the many food tents in the Titletown District, getting something in your stomach is essential for the day ahead!

Tailgate: Pack your coolers and lawn chairs. The Stadium District comes to life before the game with live music, local food and beverage stand, and thousands of Packers fans alike. Lambeau Field is unique in that it is in the middle of a neighborhood of Green Bay. If you’ve ever been to a block party, multiply it by 10,000 – and that is what you will experience on game day. If it's your first time you should make a point to walk around a bit. You're sure to meet plenty of friendly fans that will offer up a beer or brat.

Game Time: You will want to head in 45 minutes before game time to ensure you get to your seat on time! Get ready to get loud at Lambeau! Fireworks, music, craft beers, and cheering on the Packers go hand in hand.

After the Game: Wrap up your weekend with the rest of the Packers fans at Stadium View or any of the other stadium district bars!

Before you go: don’t miss out on cheese curds while you are in town – you'll find them at most anywhere that serves food.
