If you spend enough time in Green Bay, you’ll start to hear the name Voyageurs Sourdough pretty much wherever you go. It’s clear that owners Ben and Celeste are passionate about bread – something most of us can relate to. 😁 But they take their passion to the next level, using high-quality ingredients to make their hand-crafted sourdough bread and pastries.
We think trying their bread is a rite of passage around here. So, the next time you visit, we highly recommend heading to one of these beloved local restaurants to try one of the many dishes that feature Voyageurs Sourdough!
The Creamery Downtown
We love recommending The Creamery to visitors who are looking for a great brunch spot. Not only is this restaurant located in a great spot by the CityDeck, but it also has a seriously unbelievable menu. Build your own Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich featuring Voyageurs Sourdough! Or, order The Creamery Grilled Cheese, which comes with fresh mozzarella, cheddar, bacon, caramelized onion, avocado, heirloom tomato, and aioli. Yum!
Toast and Co.
Hopefully, you don’t mind if we stick with brunch spots a little bit longer, because we have another place we want to recommend… Toast and Co. Their menu contains some mouth-watering dishes that feature Voyageurs Sourdough, like their Wakin’ to Bacon Toast and their Florentine Benedict. While you’re there, be sure to order their latte of the month! They do such an amazing job pairing seasonal flavors with the espresso we all crave in the morning.
Plae Bistro
If you want to try the much-buzzed-about bread — and some of the city’s best food — make a reservation at Plae Bistro. For your appetizer, try the Brussel Sprout Bruschetta, served on Voyageurs Sourdough. For your main, try a burger! They all come on a toasted brioche bun from Voyageurs, and most of their sandwiches are served on Voyageurs Sourdough, including the Ahi BLT, Asiago Chicken Panini, and many of their “Sandwich of the Moment” features!
1919 Kitchen & Tap
1919 Kitchen & Tap is a favorite among locals and visitors alike! We recommend trying the Chicken Pesto Salad Sandwich, which is served on Voyagers’ seeded country sourdough. Or, try the Asparagus Pesto Gemelli, which is a seasonal menu item featuring gemelli pasta, grilled chicken, crispy prosciutto, and marinated tomatoes. It’s topped with balsamic glaze and asparagus pesto cream sauce and served with, you guessed it, Voyageurs Sourdough.
A’Bravo Bistro
We think A’Bravo Bistro is always a great option for lunch or dinner, but even more so if your goal is to get your hands on some delicious Voyageurs Sourdough. Recently, they posted a photo of their Chicken Salad Croissant that we can’t stop daydreaming about. Truly, every sandwich is better on a flaky croissant, and the ones that Voyageurs makes are somehow even better than whatever you’re imagining right now.
And Of Course, Voyageurs Bakehouse!
In addition to getting their amazing bread to go, you can also dine in at Voyageurs Bakehouse! The bakehouse is located inside the RailYard Innovation Building on North Broadway in downtown Green Bay. Their menu features both breakfast and lunch items and they do a great job of sourcing local ingredients for all of their sandwiches.
For the perfect combination of innovation and comfort, try the Grilled Pastrami Reuben or the Sourdough Grilled Cheese with Ham. For something a little more “outside the box” we recommend the Smoked Salmon Pate or the Gochujang Asparagus AALT. You really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu, though!
Have we made you hungry? Luckily, you have plenty of incredible options to choose from next time you’re visiting Green Bay!
