Can you smell the aroma of hot cocoa in the air and hear sleigh bells in the distance? That’s because the 39th Prevea Green Bay Holiday Parade is just around the corner, and we can’t WAIT to kick off the holiday season with a generous dose of festive magic!

 

This year's parade, themed "Let it Snow," promises to be a whimsical celebration of the season, so keep reading for a full itinerary and find out where to park, where to warm up, and most importantly, where you can meet Santa!

The Basics

 

Date: Saturday, November 18th

Time: 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Route: The parade will begin at the corner of Crooks & Jefferson Street, head East on Cherry Street, south onto Washington Street, and end at St. Brendan’s Inn (located at the corner of Washington and Stuart Street.

 

Parade Itinerary

 

Frank & Amy's Festive Prelude (9:00-10:00 am)

Kickstart your holiday cheer before the parade begins with lively holiday tunes from Frank & Amy of Let Me Be Frank Productions. Their festive performance will take place in front of the Brown County Courthouse from 9:00 to 10:00 am.

Meet the Mayor and Countdown (10:00 am)

When the clock strikes 10, join the community in a countdown to the parade’s start led by Mayor Eric Genrich. 

Parade (10:00 am)

The main event! Enjoy a delightful lineup of giant balloons, special guests, festive music, and of course, catch a glimpse of the big man in red himself.

 

After the Parade

The parade may be done, but the holiday cheer is far from over! Keep the festivities going with some great post-parade activities to enjoy with the kiddos.

 

Follow Santa to the YWCA (230 S Madison St from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm)

Directly after the parade, embark on a journey as you follow Santa and his reindeer to the YWCA, where you and your family are invited to a free meet & greet with Santa himself. Satisfy your sweet tooth at the bake sale, capture the magic in photos, and don't forget to share your holiday wish list with Old Saint Nick.

Snow Princesses and Snowman Friend's Grand Meet & Greet at Hotel Northland (304 N Adams St)

As the Grand Marshals of the parade, the Snow Princesses and their Snowman Friend invite you to join them at Hotel Northland for a free meet & greet and photo-op until 1:00 pm.

 

The Grinch & YMCA Holiday Open House (Ferguson Family YMCA, 235 N Jefferson St from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm)

For those who find joy in the mischievous side of the holidays, meet the Grinch at the Ferguson Family YMCA after the parade. The YMCA Holiday Open House offers kiddos fun activities, including cookie decorating, crafts, hot chocolate, and a bouncy house.

(This is a great parking option for those with kids who want to meet and greet with the Snow Princesses and their Snowman Friends at Hotel Northland after the parade.)

 

Street Parking on Madison Street, Doty Street:

You’ll find ample street parking on many of the blocks surrounding the parade route. Check out Madison Street, Doty Street, and Stuart Street for close options. Just don’t forget to stay on the East side of the Fox River–the Walnut Street Bridge will be closed from 8:00 am until the end of the parade.

 

Warming Shelters

If you’re feeling a bit frosty, there will be several Warming Shelters where you can dip in and warm up throughout the day. Stay toasty!
