Hold on to your witch hats—spooky season is creeping up fast, and Green Bay has a great line-up of ghoulishly fun events to make your October one to scream about! Whether you’re a fan of a haunted house jump scare, a good old-fashioned ghost story, or a little spellcasting under the moon, there’s something for you in our Halloween round-up. Let’s get spooky!
Haunted Houses
Green Bay Fear
Face your fears at Green Bay Fear, dubbed “Wisconsin’s Scariest Haunted House,” and for good reason! Dive into three different realms of pure nightmare fuel—The Shawano Mansion, The Howling Hallow, and Mr. Jingle’s Funhouse—as you attempt to escape the clutches of the notorious serial killer trio, the Samhain Rippers. Do you think you’re brave enough?
Green Bay Fear runs through November 2nd. Grab your tickets here.
Terror on the Fox
Another must-stop on your haunted house tour is Terror on the Fox, a beloved Green Bay staple for over twenty-five years. This year’s scares kick off with Crimson Night, where you’ll be racing against time to escape before the Blood Queen unleashes her ancient evil. Then, it’s onto Nautical Nightmare, where Captain Rust Hook and his crew of skeletal sailors have crawled out of their watery graves to chase you through a ship of doom. Need a little breather? Duck into The Dutchman’s Hideaway Secret Bar (must be 21+) for a themed shot of liquid courage before braving the haunted labyrinth. Just be sure to sip fast—Captain Rust doesn’t like stragglers!
Terror on the Fox runs through November 2nd. Grab your tickets here.
Revenge Haunt
Since 2017, Revenge Haunt has been terrorizing brave souls, and this year they’re bringing the fear to their brand-new location in Pulaski. Known for its intense, immersive experience, you’ll be met with dedicated actors, unexpected jump scares, and disturbingly realistic props. Weave your way through each spine-tingling room… and try not to scream too much!
Revenge Haunt runs through October 26th. Grab your tickets here.
The Realm of Darkness
If your thirst for scares still hasn’t been quenched, take a mini road trip to Kaukauna and enter The Realm of Darkness. Billed as “Wisconsin’s Most Interactive & Intense Haunted House,” this fully interactive haunted maze isn’t just about walking through spooky scenes—it’s about living them! With cutting-edge special effects, terrifyingly immersive scenes, and claustrophobic spaces, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped straight into a horror movie. And while the seasoned actors and interactive elements might make you think you're next on a slasher’s list, don’t worry—no killer clowns or ghouls will actually touch you, although they may lurk in your dreams later that night.
The Realm of Darkness runs through November 2nd. Grab your tickets here.
Zombus: Zombie Apocalypse Paintball
Looking for a haunted house experience with a thrilling twist? Check out Zombus, a zombie apocalypse-themed paintball extravaganza! You and your squad become humanity’s last hope against the undead hordes. Armed with paintball guns, you’ll navigate through a world overrun by zombies, aiming to save the living and take down as many of those rotting corpses as you can. And really, is there any better way to bond with friends than battling brain-eaters and escaping the apocalypse?
Ghost Tours
Ghost Walk at Captain’s Walk Winery
Enjoy a ghostly good time with a side of wine at the notoriously haunted Captain’s Walk Winery! On October 11th, you can explore the haunted history of the winery with none other than local ghost expert, Tim Freiss from Green Bay Ghost Tours. He’ll lead you through the eerie halls of The Walk, sharing chilling stories about its paranormal residents. Want to get in on the ghost-hunting action? Bring your own EMF devices and try to make contact with the other side! For those seeking more mystical vibes, The Magpie’s Trove Tarot will be offering readings in the winery’s historic cellar.
This is a 21+ event and tickets are $15 per person. Grab your tickets here.
Paranormal Walk through Hazelwood Historic House
Step back in time (and maybe into the afterlife) on a paranormal walk through Hazelwood Historic House in the Astor Park neighborhood, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Green Bay. Built in 1837, this Greek revival home has been standing for nearly two centuries, witnessing Green Bay's transformation from a frontier settlement to a thriving community. But Hazelwood’s history isn’t all that lingers here…
On October 12th, join the investigators from Windigo Paranormal for a night of ghost hunting, where you’ll learn how to use the tools of the paranormal trade and uncover what—or who—still calls this historic house home.

Green Bay Ghost Tours
If you’re a haunted history buff but want something a little more family-friendly, try a tour with Green Bay Ghost Tours. These tours offer a spooky stroll through the city’s haunted past as your guide—decked out in period dress—leads you from dusk to darkness. You’ll hear eerie tales of Green Bay’s most legendary spirits, creepy folklore, and ghostly encounters that will have you questioning what’s lurking in the shadows. You’ll even step inside actual haunted buildings where some residents just refuse to move on! With EMF detectors on hand for those brave enough to test them, these tours offer both walking and bus options, giving you a chilling glimpse into a side of Green Bay you never knew existed.
Scary Movies
Looking for a spooky movie night? The historic Tarlton Theatre has you covered with some Halloween classics on the city's biggest original movie screen! On October 2nd, catch Tim Burton’s eerie Sleepy Hollow (1999). Then on October 9th, it’s showtime with the ghost with the most—Beetlejuice (1988)! Both nights, doors open at 6:00 PM with full dinner and drink menus available, including popcorn and other classic cinema snacks. Gather your crew of ghouls and ghosts and settle in for a night of spooky fun—just make sure to reserve early for the best seats!
Nightmares at the Neville
If you’re a fan of classic horror films, don’t miss Nightmares at the Neville, back for its second season at the Neville Public Museum! Kicking off on October 8th, you’ll get to watch White Zombie (1932)—often considered the first zombie film. The series continues with Bride of the Monster on October 15th and The Black Cat on October 22nd. Each screening is followed by a discussion led by UW-Green Bay professor and horror expert Zack Kruse. These screenings are perfect for horror buffs or anyone curious about the evolution of the genre.
