Are you finding yourself daydreaming about a few days away from the daily grind, finding a new city to explore, or creating new experiences that will last a lifetime? Does this dream include planning a getaway with your favorite girls to get in a little “girl time” and “lady laughter”?

Well, then it might be time to stop dreaming and start planning a weekend getaway to Green Bay with your lady-tribe to partake in some well-deserved self-care. After all, even the flight attendant tells you to take care of yourself before trying to assist others.

The finest girls’ trips revolve around three key components: Bed (a fantastic place to rest your head at night), Belly (all the amazing food and beverages your tummies can handle), and Blast (what you do to make wonderful memories). Here are a few ideas to add to your next girlfriend get-away…

BEDS:

Lodge Kohler is a girlfriend getaway dream. You can book any number of spa services at the Kohler Waters Spa, enjoy dinner at Taverne in the Sky while overlooking Lambeau Field, and take in your morning coffee at Leaps & Bounds Cafe.

Radisson Hotel and Conference Center sits on the southwest side of town. The hotel includes the very popular Oneida Casino in case you’re feeling lucky. Grab dinner and a cocktail and if you are craving something sweet after dinner, the custard at SkyWorld Coffee and Custard boasts rave reviews.

Comfort Suites is not only affordable but comes with a relaxing pool and a contemporary Wisconsin dining experience at 1951 West. There’s easy access from Interstate 41, plenty of parking and this hotel offers that perfect “getaway feel.”

BELLIES:

Hinterland Brewery, in the heart of Titletown, is as warm and cozy as they come. You can choose to sit on the heated patio to watch sledders at Arien’s Hill at Titletown or snuggle up to their wood-burning fireplaces inside. Their unique menu pleases any pallet, and their two bars have no shortage of local and guest taps.

Need to grab a quick lunch while shopping in De Pere or after walking on the Fox River Trail, Strada Pizzeria is perfectly situated in the heart of De Pere and serves the only Roman-style street pizza in our area. This pizza is life-changing, we promise. You can even purchase it by the slice.

If fusion food is your jam, you must check out Chefusion in the Broadway District. Chef Tony is known for blending flavors that make your mouth water. Do yourself a favor and order their famous “butter cake” right when your main course arrives…you won’t be sorry.

BLAST:

For those looking to take on an evening of physical activity, Green Bay Axe is a must. This game doesn’t require mass strength, axe throwing is all in the form! If you aren’t feeling the vibe of axe throwing, no worries, Green Bay Axe has other activities like Hammerschlag. Kick back and relax while enjoying one of our local microbrews and watch your friends get competitive.

Fat bikes are all the craze! Our friends at Broken Spoke and Pete’s Garage offer bike rentals. Take one for a spin on the Fox River Trail or City Deck. There’s nothing more exhilarating than riding a Fat Bike off the beaten path. If biking isn’t your speed, you can also tour Green Bay by Segway and enjoy the gorgeous scenery, take in the fresh Wisconsin air and learn a little history along the way.
