Virtual Exhibits: Go Behind the Scenes at Your Favorite Green Bay Museums & Attractions

The Art Garage is offering a free virtual tour of their gallery. Feel free to browse, purchase artwork or make a donation. Workshops and events are also being offered virtually, see their Facebook page for a full list of events. Join them for Live at The Studio Wednesdays & Fridays from 10-11 am. This live stream series will give you a unique insight of their local artists’ studio! Tune-in on their Facebook page to see a live demonstration, studio tour, or participate in a Q&A session!

Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is posting Friday Funny videos, weekly wildlife facts, getting out information on the animals and procedural updates, and continuing their regular Storytime Mondays all on their Facebook page.

Heritage Hill State Park has a Facebook video series on Tuesdays called "Tune Into Your History Tuesday's @ The Hill". These videos will be providing a behind the scenes tour of various departments at Heritage Hill, a look into areas of the park that visitors do not get to experience, projects that are being worked on, and things that you can participate in to bring a little piece of Heritage Hill into your home. Plus, each Friday they will be posting on their Facebook page a family-friendly activity that you can partake in outside at Heritage Hill State Park with safe social distancing or at home.

The Green Bay Botanical Garden is bringing the garden to you at home with behind the scenes Facebook Live videos and other virtual content posted to their social media channels.

The Neville Public Museum has two virtual exhibits you can explore on their website: Green Bay Art Colony 2020 - The Legacy Continues and An Artistic Discovery. In addition, they have a treasure trove of beautiful puzzles and games for you to tackle while in quarantine! Call or email Katy at 920-265-3691 with your order, and they will have your puzzles and games ready for contact-free curbside pick up Friday between noon and 4:30 pm.

The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is bringing their animal encounters to you! Tune into their YouTube channel for a live stream of portions of the Zoo, including the otter pond – watch them eat breakfast each morning around 7:00 a.m. and lunch each day around noon!

Downtown Green Bay presents Inside the Artist's Studio "Virtually" every Wednesday, May 6-27. Local artists have come together to show the public behind-the-scenes footage of their process, their projects, their studio, and so many more fun surprises. Join the fun in the Facebook Event Discussion every Wednesday in May at 7 pm to see videos from the artists themselves. You will even have the opportunity to buy some of your favorite pieces!

Virtual Education for the Kids

The Children’s Museum of Green Bay is hosting virtual programming every day at 10:15 a.m. on YouTube. Got kids at home? Tune in here

The National Railroad Museum has a virtual activity zone for the kids to enjoy at home. From coloring and counting to science and math, you will find activities to engage all ages.

Copper State Brewing Co. is hosting a virtual Toast Positive event on social media every day at 5 p.m. through May 8. Simply stock up on your favorite Green Bay craft beer and do a video toast or picture toast on Instagram and Facebook. Toast to a person or group making a difference, toast to a small joy you are experiencing, toast to a birthday or baptism or wedding or event that might go unnoticed right now without our new virtual reality. Tag your friends and family that you wish you could be with during this time. Drink to past memories and future gatherings. Give others a virtual cheers. Tag your local breweries no matter which local beer you're drinking, so we can promote our amazing brewing community. Live Music

Cup O' Joy will be presenting Friday Night Facebook Live Shows for the Month of May. The shows are filmed live at the Cup O' Joy and you can join in with your comments and questions on their Facebook page.

Virtual Fitness

Run It, Bike It, Hike It! Join Baird Creek for 100 Miles in May! This Distance Challenge is a virtual race event that encourages participants to get out in nature. Spend time on your local trails and roads to track 100 miles of activity in May. You can complete your 100 miles anywhere, anytime, in the month of May, and get a Baird Creek Medal for it; if you so choose! Register now and you'll receive the link to download the tracking app so you can put your shoes on and run, bike or hike (or all 3) your way to 100 miles in nature!

The Bellin Run is going virtual for 2020! For health and safety reasons, race officials are strongly discouraging participants from running the Bellin Run course on race day. Runners and walkers are encouraged to continue their activity solo (always taking personal safety into account) or with members of their household only. In-person group training sessions of any kind are strongly discouraged. Stay active and get your training underway with the Bellin Run crew! Join the Facebook Live Bellin Run Virtual (solo) training runs every Wednesday at 6 pm. Running expert Nate Vandervest will share wisdom and encouragement to get you out the door!

The Cellcom Green Bay Marathon is converting its 2020 race weekend to a virtual event. Did you register for the full marathon, full marathon relay, half marathon, half marathon relay, 5k or .5 Kids' Run? The virtual race will allow participants to finish their training and the miles of their chosen event individually on race day, or any day of their choosing. Your race packet willed be mailed during the week of May 11 and will include your shirt, finisher’s medal and race bib.

Runaway Shoes - Join in the Rona Run. A FREE Virtual Run/Walk Event to run “together” as a community and also gives shoes to essential staff, specifically those who work hard in janitorial and healthcare roles in our communities. Every 50 miles earns a pair of shoes for local janitorial and healthcare workers in the areas surrounding Oshkosh the Fox Cities and Greater Green Bay. Participants will receive 10% off an order at Hagemeister Park, Greystone Ale House or any of The Bar locations. Registration is open from May 1st through May 10th. Event bibs will be mailed out on May 11th. You may participate at any time between when you receive your bib and May 31. If you would like to feel like you are participating with a “group”, the official date and time of this virtual run at 9 am on Saturday, May 16.
