A Guide to Green Bay Bars and Nightlife

A Guide to Green Bay Bars & Nightlife

Greater Green Bay has some of the best bars in the Midwest, and no, we’re not just saying that. There’s something for everyone here, from the friendliest neighborhood taverns to a bar designed just for dogs (yes, really).

Wisconsin is known for having a vibrant nightlife, and Greater Green Bay is certainly no exception. You can tell from watching the tailgaters on game day that we know how to have a good time, and we can’t wait to bring you in on the fun, too! Make sure that your next visit includes a stop at one (or two or three) of these Green Bay bars and establishments!

Perfect For… Night Owls

Is staying up late your idea of a good time? Then Green Bay is the place for you! We are known for our friendly neighborhood taverns, and we guarantee you’ll feel like a regular when you pull up a barstool at Richard Craniums. This is a quintessential down-home, good-time pub. Order some deep-fried cheese curds and your favorite beer and get ready to make some new friends!

Keggers is another favorite among the locals because of the welcoming atmosphere and amazing drink specials! Their outdoor beer garden is the perfect place to take in some live music, especially on Wednesdays during the Farmers Market on Broadway. Be sure to check their website to see if they have karaoke or trivia going on, or if they’re going to be hosting a regional or national act in their attached event space, The Lyric Room.

Perfect For… Big Appetites

Green Bay has lots of options for those who want a big meal to go with their beverage of choice. Copper State Brewing Company is not only a fully functioning brewery, they also have an incredible menu featuring wood-fired pizzas, burgers, and other gastropub faves. Hagemeister Park is another must-visit for serious appetites, and their extensive beer menu (featuring dozens of local selections) will keep you busy for hours.

Love food just as much as you love beer? Hinterland Brewery & Restaurant has been brewing beer since 1995, and they’ve become a staple in Green Bay. Their Beer Hall serves up fan favorites like Beef Brisket Grilled Cheese and Highland Venison Meatloaf. In the High Gravity Test Kitchen, you’ll find more innovative flavor pairings that incorporate seasonal ingredients or pop-up themes. No matter what you order, it will pair perfectly with your new favorite brew!

Perfect For… Dog Lovers

Are you traveling with your canine friend? Bring them to Bark & Brew, an off-leash dog-friendly wonderland for pups! Don’t worry, humans are allowed to hang out, too. Order a craft beer, or some wine, soda, tea, or coffee for yourself and your dog can order from the Bone Bar, which is stocked with all kinds of delicious dog-friendly treats.

You and your dog will also have a blast at Badger State Brewing Company. No matter what time of year you visit, you’ll be sure to find a loyal companion lounging at the feet of their humans on the dog-friendly patio. Badger State has dozens of beers on tap, as well as cider, seltzer, and non-alcoholic craft beverages. You’ll definitely want to check out the Dogs of Badger State Instagram page to see some of their cutest four-legged fans!

Perfect For… Sports Fanatics

Love to cheer for your favorite team? We can get behind that. There’s a bunch of Green Bay bars that are perfect for sports fans who want to grab a drink and watch the game. Anduzzi’s has three locations in Greater Green Bay, and it’s THE place to go if you want to watch the game, enjoy some delicious pub cuisine and take advantage of some generous drink specials.

The Bar is another Green Bay staple. They have two locations and plenty of amenities to keep the party going well into the night. We’re talking horseshoe pits, dartboards, pool tables, and even indoor and outdoor sand volleyball courts! D2 Sports Pub and Stadium View Sports Bar & Grill are also great options, especially on game days. Both are located right in the heart of the Lambeau Field stadium district.

Perfect For… Beer Aficionados

Your Green Bay itinerary would not be complete without a stop at one (or more) of our fantastic breweries. Titletown Brewing Company is the perfect place to grab a brew and challenge someone to a friendly game of pinball. Don’t forget to head up to the rooftop bar while you’re there to take in the skyline views! Check out their website to see what’s on tap now.

Zambaldi Beer and Noble Roots Brewing Company are both newer to the Green Bay beer scene, but they’re quickly becoming favorite drinking destinations for locals and visitors alike. Stillmank Brewing Company is located on the east side of Green Bay, and their award-winning flagship beer, Wisco Disco, has become synonymous with gameday. You have to try it while you’re in town… trust us on this!

Perfect For… Day Drinkers

If staying out until the bars close isn’t really your style, don’t worry. There are lots of options in Greater Green Bay for people who prefer to be in bed by 10 pm. Ahnapee Brewery has a taproom in Algoma and Suamico where you can sit on the patio and enjoy some of their delicious brews on tap, including seasonal releases and limited offerings.

If you’re looking for something a little more high-energy, grab some friends and hop on the Foxy Pedaler, a 14-person, pedal-powered bar on wheels (don’t worry, there’s a motor assist in case you get tired or just want to sit back and enjoy the ride). Each tour is two hours long, and it makes several stops along the route. Bring good shoes and be prepared to sing, laugh, and have a great time! Tours run between noon and 10 pm.

Around here, we’re all about having fun! We can’t wait to see you out at these Green Bay bars the next time you visit.
