Cast
a line...
Nothing quickens the pulse quite like the explosive force
of a powerful fish hitting your line. And with large stocks
of everything from powerful smallmouth bass to tackle busting
salmon, Packer Country anglers are sure to give their heart
a workout. Hop aboard a fishing charter in search of chinook
and coho salmon, steelhead and brown trout, or take to the
inland lakes and streams with a skilled area guide for some
of the best bass and northern pike fishing in the state. Of
course, no fishing trip to Packer Country is complete without
a day of fishing for the famed and elusive walleye, followed
by a delicious Wisconsin fish fry.
Packer Country's waters aren't limited to those with boats.
Whether you are casting a line from a riverbank or Lake Michigan
pier, the region's shore fishing opportunities provide the
perfect environment for anglers to hook that trophy fish.
Shore fishing is also a great way to introduce children to
fishing. Simply grab a couple of fishing rods, some worms
and enjoy a day of fun family fishing. Parks are located on
Lake Michigan, most of the rivers, and at all public boat
launches.
